Job description

Job Introduction

A new opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager to plan, implement, and optimise meaningful marketing activity to encourage Lincolnshire residents to seek support and treatment for drug and alcohol use.

Turning Point is a leading health and social care social enterprise that provides support for drug and alcohol use, mental health, learning disability, sexual health, and employment needs.

Our Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership service (In partnership with Framework and Double Impact) has recently launched so now is a great time to join us!

If you’re excited by the idea of creating your own innovative, multi-channel marketing plans that help people to access the drug and alcohol support they need then we’d love to hear from you.

This is a hybrid working role - ideally 3 days per week on site and 2 days per week from home.

Role Responsibility

As the Marketing Manager you’re responsible for ensuring that Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership and Horizon services are reaching their target audiences in a consistent, engaging, and effective way that increases numbers in treatment.

You’ll build relationships across the organisation, partners, and commissioners, to understand challenges and work quickly to provide advice, create communications, and recommend marketing activities using online and offline channels.

Some of your regular activities will include:

  • working with partners and stakeholders to promote the work of the services and to maximise referral numbers
  • working alongside the Partnership Managers to develop and oversee the services’ promotion and marketing strategy
  • developing and delivering an annual calendar of activities and events in line with best practice
  • building and developing relationships with community groups and BAME populations
  • leading on communications within Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership services to ensure that there is a golden thread of Health Promotion throughout the services
  • leading Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership in its joint work with local partners to fully integrate our services into the Local Integrated Care Network as well as wider community initiatives
  • leading on the development of written and digital promotional materials/ formats
  • managing our social media platforms, online content, and marketing emails
  • leading the services by attending community and professional events and representing the service in meetings/ training
  • communicating with Local Authority and other partners on joint initiatives, pathways, and campaigns
  • consultation and coproduction of communications with service users and staff

The Ideal Candidate

This area of Turning Point is fast paced, and always changing to adapt to the needs of our audiences.

To be considered for the role you will need to have previous experience of Marketing planning and campaign delivery, both on and offline.

You’re a positive, organised, and tenacious individual whose focus on the customer need delivers great work that drives results.

You’d describe yourself as a good all-rounder – from developing annual plans, to producing creative and writing copy – always with an eye on performance.

You love where you live and have a great understanding of Lincolnshire and the communities within the area.

We are looking to recruit a candidate who is personally and professionally committed to inspiring the possibility of recovery in others. We will provide a package of training and support; experience of working in health promotion or relevant services is an advantage but more important is a willingness to learn, a passion for helping people and a desire to bring your experience in marketing into the role.

We’re also looking for some of the following:

  • experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
  • some paid media experience, both on and offline
  • a strong all-rounder – you have a great understanding and application of the marketing mix
  • good analytical skills – you are comfortable interpreting data and making recommendations based on insight
  • basic understanding of website development, so you’re comfortable working with our tech team
  • ability to manage project priorities and experienced at influencing internal stakeholders
  • hands-on experience of creating content, writing copy and other creative skills
  • experience within the healthcare sector is also highly desirable
  • are empathetic, kind, and want to work in a small but energetic team!
