SSP is a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, with c.42,000 colleagues in over 600 locations across 37 countries. We operate sit-down and quick service restaurants, cafes, lounges and food-led convenience stores, principally in airports and train stations, with a portfolio of around 550 international, national and local brands. These include our own brands (such as UrbanCrave, which brought the first “street eats” concept to airports in the US and Nippon Ramen, a noodle and dumpling concept in the APAC region) as well as franchise brands (such as M&S, Starbucks and Burger King).


The Role


The role of the Master Data Analyst is to support the Master Data Manager in providing the analysis to validate the data requirements for the implementation of a new ERP solution (SAP S/4 Hana) in respect of enabling the processes for procurement through to sale, including areas such as recipe management, production and corporate responsibility, e.g. allergen and nutritional.

SSP are the Food Travel Experts with operations in 35 countries globally. Project Mercury (SAP) is a key strategic business transformation programme to improve the operational efficiency and control within the company across all those countries; this includes the areas of finance, inventory and cash management, but fundamentally involves all departments.


Skills/knowledge

Essential

  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse, manage and manipulate large volumes of data
  • Effective problem solving with ability to distil complexity into business challenges, opportunities and IT solutions
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with a can-do approach and the confidence to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organisation hierarchy
  • Strong business analysis skills to identify and gather requirements
  • Analytical approach to assessing options and providing recommendations
  • High level of attention to detail with a meticulous attitude to their work to ensure accuracy
  • Strong influencing skills, tenacious and able to work independently
  • Exceptional organisation, time management and planning skills to meet project priorities and deadlines


Desirable:

  • Experience of analysing data in the Hospitality sector with a detailed understanding of inventory and recipe management
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP S/4Hana Retail Article and related data structures
  • Knowledge and experience of Winshuttle software in relation to data load and validation
  • Awareness of commercial reality and ability to apply value/ROI to decisions
  • Experience of business transformation projects
  • Experience working internationally, or for international organisations with different languages and cultures
  • Language skills (bi-lingual or more)
  • Thrives in an exceptionally challenging environment
  • Willing and able to travel regularly in the UK and internationally.
