Material Controller

Company Profile
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Material Controller to join our manufacturing client based in North Staffordshire. You will join a leading national manufacturer and supplier of niche bespoke specialist products.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in various aspects of the operations, primarily focusing on the creation of Parts/BOMs/Routes. You will be providing support to the Production, Contracts, & Purchasing Departments aswell as contributing to the seamless creation of purchase parts for in-house manufacturing.
Job Description:

• Create and maintain Parts/BOMs/Routes to facilitate efficient production processes
• Provide essential support to Production, Contracts, and Purchasing Departments utilising various applications
• Generate purchase parts for in-house manufacturing to ensure a smooth production flow
• Read technical drawings often using CAD to ensure technical parts are accounted for

It would be good to see candidates with:

• Strong background in general engineering, with hands-on experience in a light/medium fabrication environment
• Prior experience using ERP/MRP/MPS systems, particularly Sage 200
• An understanding of CAD
• Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to work to specific and tight deadlines
• Ability to interpret and comprehend technical drawings
• Knowledge of timber products is a distinct advantage

Working Hours Monday Friday 40-hour working week
Salary Negotiable Depending on Experience
It is commutable from Stoke on Trent, Trentham, Stone, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Crewe, Congleton
