Worley is recruiting a Material Controller to be based at our Grimsby office
Key Objectives:
- Management of all materials in accordance with relevant Company policies and procedures. Ensuring traceability processes are maintained.
- Effective management and control of Stores Stock, PPE, Welding Consumables, Hand Tools, etc.
Primary Duties:
- Assists development and implementation of Material Management Procedures and periodic review as part of Continuous Business Improvement
- Ensure materials database and project reporting tools are fully updated
- Utilise established material management tools and systems to provide material status
- Ensuring the set up and functional layout of the Stores, ensuring safety of all personnel or visitors, flow of Goods In / Out, appropriate segregation of material including Quarantine, Dangerous Goods etc.
- Actively manage material delivery through direct liaison with Expediting function and suppliers to ensure safe and timely delivery
- Fully manage goods receipt process, liaise with QA/QC Inspection as defined to secure specified release steps if applicable
- Check delivery notes and material certification to confirm completeness and specifications
- Ownership for the Investigation and resolution of any overage, shortage and damage (OS&D)
- Allocation of material locations, ensuring appropriate segregation as required, and storage of project materials and update of systems accordingly
- Ensure all materials are labelled in accordance company procedures or project specific requirements.
- Loading and unloading of deliveries and collections
- Issue PPE and all other standard stores items and ensure stock levels are maintained
- Monitor temperature controlled consumable store and issue according to WPS and Worley Quality procedure
- To ensure that all tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with procedures, and ensure the working environment is clean and tidy.
- Liaise with plant hire manager on return of hired in equipment.

Person Spec:
Essential:
- Standard grade education or equivalent
- Demonstrable relevant experience and exposure
- Thorough knowledge and application of Materials Management Systems
- Extensive working product knowledge of typical oil and gas materials (piping, E&I, structural)
- Ability to identify fabrication material against material certificates and specifications
- IT Literate
Desirable:
- Forklift Licence
- Overhead Crane
Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:
Essential:
- Experienced in the control and management of materials from receipt at goods-in through to distribution
- Working knowledge of material systems, process controls, warehousing and logistics
- Proven ability to work to demanding project schedules
- Experience in the handling, storing and preservation of project materials and equipment
- Demonstrate good excel spreadsheet data manipulation skills
