Material Controller

Elevation Recruitment are searching for a Material Controller to join an FMCG business based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The role offers a great benefits package which includes hybrid working and flexible working time!
Key Responsibilities:

• Place contracts and call-offs to cover forecasted volume and production plans.
• Collaborate with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, GTM, and Commercial teams to ensure accurate and timely information for call-offs and contracts.
• Fully manage end-to-end relationships with suppliers, covering short and long-term demand, expedite materials as needed, and address day-to-day supplier management queries.
• Attend weekly/ad hoc meetings to provide progress updates.
• Raise hold/rejection notes in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Maintain purchase orders in line with date/quantity changes.
• Reconcile Sage versus Infor and make adjustments to Sage stock when applicable.
• Conduct periodic reviews of safety stocks and lead times for all ordered components.
• Respond to any invoice queries from finance related to receipts on Sage, liaising with Finance to ensure credit notes are raised.
• Manage, maintain, and analyse the Packaging Runout Report and associated tools.
• Utilize Sage Line 500 to log and monitor contract and call-off commitments.
• Monitor and track contracts in line with Procurement to maximize PPV.
• Proactively manage the R Status procedure to reduce exposure to potential obsolescence.
• Facilitate the packaging redesign process, managing delist and NPD launches for the portfolio.
• Assist with regular stock take activities as required.
