Material Planner
Desford - potential to work from home 2 days a week once trained
Initial 12-month contract - highly likely to extend and be rolling for the right person!
37.5 hours a week with an early finish on a Friday!

Do you have supply chain experience within a Manufacturing Company? Are you used to dealing with Suppliers, or being a Supplier? Are you hoping to find an exciting new challenge, in a fast-moving environment, within a globally renowned company?
We re looking for a Material Planner to join our client s busy global Supply Chain Team in Desford. This is an initial 12-month contract which is highly likely to be ongoing for the right person! For the first three months you will be based on site full time for training, after this there is a possibility to work from home 1-2 days per week. If you ve a strong eye for detail, have a good understanding of Excel, and are an excellent communicator who is keen to learn & progress, this could be the opportunity you re looking for
What will the Material Planner do?
- Coordinate required materials and parts with global suppliers
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure their schedules meet the facilities requirements
- Ensure deliveries take place as planned
- Check forecast accuracy and update plans/schedules as required
What skills and experience will the Material Planner need?
- Previous supply chain experience within a Manufacturing Company or Imports experience
- Previous experience liaising with suppliers as a customer or being a supplier liaising with customers
- Competent PC user - Excel is key! Pivot tables, v lookups, what ifs. Must be comfortable with using and learning different programs. Power BI experience would be beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail + an analytical thought process (you ll analyse data to forecast materials)
- Excellent communicator you will need to build rapport & relationships with suppliers and colleagues
- A fast learner who enjoys new challenges and is keen to develop and progress!
- A team player who is also self-motivated, with the ability to solve problems independently and put measures in place to stop them from reoccurring
