Are you ready to play a pivotal role in the heartbeat of a global Fast-Moving Consumer Goods empire? Our client, a trailblazer in the FMCG industry, is actively seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Material Planner to join a world-class team.
The Material Planner will work within the EMEA Operations team based in West London and will be responsible for the accurate planning, processing and maintainance of appropriate levels of raw material stock across the region.
As a Raw Material Planner, you will play a pivotal role, working with our suppliers to ensure the efficient procurement and management of materials inbound to manufacturing locations to support our production and distribution requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate material requirements plans (MRPs) to determine the necessary materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies needed for production.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and packaging materials to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimise excess or obsolete inventory and prevent stockouts.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and manage supplier relationships.
- Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements when necessary.
- Collaborate with the finished goods and NPD teams to gather intelligence and refine supplier forecasts.
- Use forecasting tools and historical data to improve the accuracy of demand projections.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain, including streamlining procurement processes and reducing lead times.
- Implement best practices in MRP planning and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyse data related to production, inventory, and supplier performance to make informed decisions and develop reports for management review.
About You:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
- At least 1 year of Industrial Experience in Supply Chain Planning within the FMCG industry
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP software systems; SAP, Oracle or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective supplier & plant collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving when dealing with daily Material Planner tasks and/or issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
