Job description

A Materials Controller is needed to take ownership of the effective procurement of materials and ensuring a smooth running of supply chain operations in our FMCG company located in IP postcode.

Description

  • Manage the inventory levels of the stock portfolio, identifying shortages, disposals, future requirements etc.
  • Maintain MRP and other planning systems with information, updated in a timely and accurate manner, to ensure that product delivery is at the forefront of all activities.
  • Efficient operation and control of the resources in your control by ensuring sufficient stock at appropriate location, management of supplier substitution and calling off orders according to contracts, identify out of stock issues.
  • Review stock write offs due to changes in production plan or forecast changes.
  • Co-ordinate changes to the materials portfolio such as the introduction of new raw materials, changes to the existing range and the delisting of obsolete materials

Profile

To be successful in this Materials Controller FMCG role you will have:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Other academic qualification (A-levels, HND)
  • Professional qualifications inc level
  • Other qualifications (e.g. drivers licence)
  • Literacy & Numerate
  • More than 2 years experience in FMCG stock control and administration
  • IT skills, spreadsheets & data analysis
  • Knowledge of MRP systems
