Materials Logistics OperatorSalary dependent on experienceDaventry, NorthamptonshireMonday -Thursday 07.30 - 17.00 and Friday 08.30 - 15.45PermanentOur Daventry based client is an innovative and creative manufacturer of speciality chemicals. They supply their products and services primarily to the aroma chemical industry but also to the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, electronics and life science sectors.They are now looking to recruit a Materials Logistics Operator to join their busy warehouse and logistics team. Materials Logistics Operator responsibilities:

• Receipt of incoming materials
• Maintenance of stocks using a 'first in first out' system
• Movement of materials
• Dispensing, packing, checking and labelling of materials
• Arranging carriers and obtaining quotes for transport
• Maintaining good housekeeping particularly within the stores and despatch areas

Materials Logistics Operator requirements:

• Previous warehouse / production experience essential
• You should be a good communicator, be literate and numerate and have excellent team working skills as you will need to work as a highly effective team member
• You should be able to deal with peaks in workload in a calm, logical and effective manner
• As many of our clients materials are classified as hazardous for transport, IATA and ADR qualifications are desirable but not essential
• Any relevant qualifications in Warehousing and/or Logistics would also be viewed favourable
• Previous FLT experience desirable
• A knowledge of COSHH assessments and Material Safety Data Sheets is also desirable but not essential.
