Your role will be based in the Production Control Department of a busy manufacturing company and the main purpose of your role is to produce a Manufacturing Plan plus a Material Requirement Plan that takes into account Customer, Manufacturing & Supplier needs.
Your key duties will be:
- To produce a Manufacturing Plan and generate supplier schedules, which are to be reviewed and issued weekly
- Hold regular meetings to approve / modify the Manufacturing Plan
- Monitor and report on customer / supplier demands and deliveries
- Plan and control inventory levels to achieve the policies laid down
- Plan and control service parts inventory levels and generate supplier requirements
- Be the first point of contact for customer and supplier communications relating to delivery issues, and ensure they are communicated and counter-measured speedily
- Plan stock run-outs / ECI introduction
- Ensure system is updated regularly with all relevant transactions
- Organise and control cycle counting of components
- Help organise and control stock take activities
- Ensure good effective daily communication with all departments
- Kaizen activity - to continuously improve the department's function
You will need to:
- have experience within a planning role and using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system within a manufacturing environment
- have the ability and confidence to communicate with all levels of the business, both internally and externally
- have good analytical and numerical skills
- be capable of working under pressure in an open plan office environment
- have competence with MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
