SalaryReed Procurement and Supply Chain are currently partnering with our industry leading client based in Lancaster, to assist them in sourcing a Procurement Materials Planner to join the team on a full time and permanent basis.

The successful candidates roles and responsibilities will include:
- Managing existing supplier relationships and identifying new suppliers
- Planning materials to meet the schedules, analysing and interpreting forecasting data to support correct inventory levels and approach
- Be responsible for the day to day purchasing key administrative activities, including maintaining key records
- Managing material consumption vs lead supply times
- Identifying material usage trends and forward requirements, establishing appropriate stock re-order levels in line with demands, trends and industry changes
- Negotiation and agreement on service price and quality terms with suppliers
- Verify deliverables meet quality assurance objectives.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience in a fast-paced procurement / Materials Planner role
- Good knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with suppliers and create long lasting relationships
- Be organised, methodical and logical
