We are working with an International food manufacturer based all across Europe who are searching for a hands-on Materials Planning Manager.
Overview
• Hold the responsibility for long-term material planning for a specific food category
• Develop and define the material processes across the business
• Lead planning execution in line with business targets (service, cost, inventory)
• Define the material planning organisation to deliver business results
Responsibilities
• Overall ownership of category Materials Planning across the full network on specific category to be defined
• Own materials inventory level to guarantee the balance between service level and cash, in line with business yearly targets
• Develop and maintain strong working relationship with markets, innovation, procurement and supply functions in order to ensure that the monthly planning cycle delivers for the business and has the right level of governance across the end-to-end process
• Develop a long-term material requirement for assigned suppliers/material and develop long-term planning strategy in collaboration with procurement to secure right monthly capacity
• Identify from the long-term plan any capacity or supply gap and inventory strategy, implementing supplier Rough Cut Capacity Planning Processes
• External material planning interface with strategic suppliers driving joint value creation initiatives
• Implement Material Supply Management Capability framework including materials strategic master planning
• Collaborate with procurement on business continuity plans for key strategic suppliers or capacity constrained suppliers
• Manage significant material availability challenges across all country markets in Region and lead communication to
• Develop and own Service Level execution agreement with key strategic supplier to drive cost, cash, service performance
• Own short-term regional availability management
• Work with procurement and R&D to define key saving projects on his category standards, and that these controls are also standardised, simplified and automated as far as possible
Qualifications and Personal Profile
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain or a related business field
• Experience of working within a team-oriented and collaborative environment
• Evidence of developing, transforming and improving business processes, strategy and performance
• Ability and experience in working internationally, across multiple business units
