What you will do in your working day
Operate ISO and SAE Media Test Stands to test / develop existing and future filtration paper media solutions.
Maintain the Media Test Stands to required levels of cleanliness and operational capacity.
Operate mechanical test rigs to determine performance of tested products.
Responsible for maintaining and setting up of Laboratory tests to company and international standards.
Collate data, generate graphical curves, analyse results, and write reports for all testing.
Calibrate equipment.
Maintain conformance to ISO 14001, ISO18001 and TS16949.
Actively participate in internal technical meetings and provide data towards driving Filtration Research & Development.
Fuel filter Water Separation tests.
Fuel filter Dirt Holding Capacity and Remaining Life tests.
Fuel filter Particle Efficiency tests.
Product mechanical testing: vibration, mechanical endurance & thermal endurance cycling.
Occasional electrical testing of products: WIF’s, fuel pumps & solenoid valves/drains
The training you will be getting
- The degree award is BEng (Hons) Materials Technology - Degree in Materials
- You will attend Sheffield Hallam University on a series of short study blocks
- Functional Skills English and maths if required
