My client is a USA curriculum school in India looking for an experienced Mathematics Instructional Coachto join the team. The Mathematics Instructional Coach will play a key role in supporting teachers, enhancing pedagogy, and promoting student achievement in mathematics based on the USA curriculum standards. This position requires a passion for education, strong leadership skills, and expertise in mathematics instruction.

**Maths Instructional Coach Job Description:**

1. **Instructional Coaching:**

• Collaborate with mathematics teachers to improve instructional strategies aligned with the USA curriculum standards.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers on mathematics instruction, differentiation, and assessment practices.
• Model effective teaching techniques and strategies to enhance student understanding and engagement.

2. **Professional Development:**

• Design and deliver targeted professional development sessions for mathematics faculty based on identified needs and curriculum goals.
• Coordinate workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance mathematics content knowledge and pedagogical skills.
• Support the implementation of best practices in mathematics education through ongoing support and mentorship.

3. **Curriculum Development and Alignment:**

•   Work closely with curriculum specialists and mathematics department heads to develop and refine the mathematics curriculum based on the USA standards.
•   Assist in selecting and adapting instructional materials, resources, and technology tools to enhance mathematics instruction and student learning.
•   Ensure alignment of assessments with curriculum objectives and provide guidance on effective assessment practices.

4. **Data Analysis and Goal Setting:**

•  Analyze student performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement in mathematics education.
•  Collaborate with teachers to set instructional goals and action plans based on data-driven insights.
•  Monitor progress towards goals and adjust coaching strategies to support continuous improvement.

5. **Teacher Support and Mentorship:**

• Provide individualized support and mentorship to mathematics teachers to enhance their teaching practices and instructional effectiveness.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive professional learning community where teachers can share best practices and resources.
• Promote a culture of reflective practice and ongoing professional growth among mathematics faculty.

6. **School-wide Initiatives:**

• Collaborate with school leadership and department heads on school-wide initiatives related to curriculum development, assessment practices, and interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional learning communities to contribute to school-wide goals and initiatives.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mathematics Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
• Teaching certification and substantial experience in teaching mathematics at the middle or high school level.
• At least 3 years of experience ideally in Common Core and the IB is beneficial as the school will deliver IB PYP and DP
• A proven track record of Instructional Coaching, professional development, or curriculum leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of the USA curriculum standards for mathematics.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with faculty and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations and workshops.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze student data and use it to inform instructional decisions.
• Experience working in international or multicultural educational settings is an advantage.
