The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head of Department in strategically leading and delivering the Maths curriculum. You will share responsibility for the overall effectiveness in providing the highest quality of education for their students. This role is suitable for either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a more experienced teacher looking to make a significant impact in a thriving school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge all students.
· Support the Head of Department in the development and implementation of curriculum initiatives.
· Monitor and assess students' progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
· Contribute to the development of Maths resources and schemes of work.
· Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, diversity, and high standards of behaviour.
· Participate in and contribute to department meetings, training sessions, and school events.
· Engage with parents and carers to support students' academic and personal development.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
· Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Maths or a related subject.
· Have a proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning (or demonstrate the potential to do so as an ECT).
· Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths.
· Be able to inspire, motivate, and challenge students of all abilities.
· Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Be committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
