A North London Local Authority is on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Contract Delivery Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and drive forward major refurbishment and planned works projects that have a direct impact on the community.

Role Overview:
- Objective Achievement: Contract manage refurbishment and planned works to ensure they align with the Council’s objectives, affordability targets, and deliver value for money for all stakeholders.
- Project Management: Take charge of all project phases from feasibility studies, brief development, design, procurement, delivery, to final account settlements. With a significant budget responsibility of up to £8 million, you will oversee directly controlled capital expenditure through contracts.
- Technical Guidance: Offer expert building surveying and technical advice to various teams within the council, ensuring informed decisions and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of M&E, with a preference for those with a Commercial Gas and Water Hygiene background.
- Sound knowledge of building construction, maintenance techniques, and building contract law.
- Ability to diagnose building defects, recommend remedial measures, and provide expert advice on intricate technical issues.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, especially in construction through CDM regulations.
- Proven track record as a building surveyor within the Housing/Property Sector.
- Managing multiple refurbishment contracts and programmes simultaneously.
- Experience in feasibility studies, developing briefs, and managing major works projects from inception to completion.
- Skilled in consulting and communicating with diverse stakeholders on various building-related matters.
- Providing invaluable commercial, financial, risk management, and contractual advice.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A robust background in building surveying and technical expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects within the Housing/Property Sector.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in building surveying or related fields.
