As a Valve Coordinator Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient's individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.

Responsibilities

• Supports care conferences with the multi-disciplinary staff during the screening process and promotes a team approach to the patient program.
• Assists with the education of patients and families about upcoming procedures and assists with ongoing education to other staff members.
• Supports the quality program focusing on patient outcomes, ensuring patient follow up and maintaining data collection and entry.
• Collaborate with physicians to schedule, assess and follow patient's pre and post-surgery.
• Acts as a representative of the program to both internal and external groups.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
