About the role:
Astute’s Power team is partnering with a large Energy company to recruit a Mechanical Craftsperson for its site near Ashington, Northumberland.

The Mechanical Craftsperson role comes with a starting salary of �47,000 + a great benefits package including private medical.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Shift Engineer you will:

* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment.
* Carry out fault-finding and rectify problems.
* Work to site safety rules and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
* Assist with scheduling outage activities as required.
* Update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
* Develop and implement procedures, instructions, risk assessments and method statements.

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

* A time-serviced apprenticeship (NVQ level 3 / EITB) in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
* HNC in relevant subject (desirable)
* IOSH certificate (desirable)
* Ability to work a shift rota of dayshifts and nightshifts

Personal skills:
The Mechanical Craftsperson role would suit someone who is:

* Strong IT skills

Salary and benefits of the Mechanical Craftsperson role:

* Starting salary of �47,760
* Salary to rise to �51,900 after probation
* Private medical
