The Role
We currently have the opportunity to recruit a Mechanical Fitter, with experience of working with site services systems, into a Mechanical Craft role at our Colors site in Shotton.
As the Mechanical Craftsperson, you will be undertaking planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and new installation work within works premises on a variety of building services related systems, In this capacity, your role responsibilities, will include but not be limited to the following:
- High pressure hot water and steam plant including boilers.
- Domestic hot water and cold water systems.
- Process water and effluent treatment plant.
- Compressed Air Systems.
- Rain water and sewerage discharge drainage.
- Health, Safety and Environmental performance adhering to the works IMS procedures
- Undertake Risk assessments and LOLERs for activities to be undertaken.
- Assist with the maintenance of production lines during manufacturing plant shutdowns.
The role is key to ensuring sufficient resource and capability to maintain all plant items within the Shotton manufacturing engineering scope
The Candidate
You will need to be a time served Mechanical Craftsperson (or NVQ equivalent) with adequate and relevant plant experience.
You will require strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined team.
A good risk awareness will be of paramount importance when planning and undertaking tasks, and in this role you must be able to challenge those, who do not.
