Mechanical Design & Applications Engineer

Our client is a very successful OEM based in Bristol and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical Design & Applications Engineer.

The Role:

Reporting to the Project Manager you will provide high level of technical support to the sales and engineering teams by producing, drawings, costings, technical specifications, cost estimates and solutions associated with the sales automated machinery.

Duties will include but is not limited to the following;

• Produce machine design and factory layout drawings using AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks
• Liaise with sales team and suppliers to produce cost estimates
• Write technical specifications and solutions to support machinery sales
• Provide professional and timely responses to incoming customer enquiries
• Obtain quotations and costings from 3rd party suppliers
• Attend engineering review meetings

Candidate:

You will be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and you will have a recognised technical or engineering qualification to HND/HNC level.

You will be highly motivated. articulate with excellent written and verbal communications skills and you will have a keen eye for detail and proofreading technical documentation.

Applicants with SolidWorks and /or Graphic Design background will be beneficial although not essential as full training will be given.

Hours of Work:Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs Benefits:
