Our clients are specialists in their industry, serving the energy sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them during an exciting period of growth!
Mechanical Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for all aspects Mechanical Design work
- Plan and conduct projects to preset milestones and budgets
- Work with customers to get a comprehensive understanding of customer
- Developing cost effective design solutions to the customer’s technical and commercial requirements
- Rectify any design errors, cost controlling all the time
- Undertaking theoretical analysis and mathematical modelling
- Developing and building prototypes to test their function
- Devising, implementing, and documenting appropriate experiments and tests
- Engineering change management
- Writing detailed technical documentation
- Sourcing components and liaising with suppliers
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will:
- 3+ years in an engineering design environment (ideally electro-mechanical)
- Have knowledge in engineering materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience working with complex machined parts
- BA degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in common design software, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Project management skills
