A prestigious engineering firm is actively seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to enrich their design and coordination team. This position demands comprehensive mechanical engineering knowledge, with a particular focus on designing and coordinating full-scale projects encompassing HVAC, boiler/plant rooms, water supply, gas, and various specialist mechanical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of entire projects from a mechanical standpoint, adeptly coordinating and designing all MEP systems.
- Actively participate in the team, overseeing the production of BIM operative drawings, adding engineering solutions, and assisting in BIM model coordination.
- Ensure compliance and quality in design calculations, equipment scheduling, builders work, and provide technical support to contracts managers for submittals and equipment selection.
Candidate Profile:
- HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Proficiency in BIM/Autocad and Navisworks.
- Proven experience leading design in entire Mechanical services projects.
- Background in Education, Residential, Commercial, and Healthcare sectors.
- Possession of a full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Confidence in working independently and representing the company in client/design meetings.
- At least 5 years of senior UK design experience in the Building Services industry.
