What you’ll be doing as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
- Developing electro-Mechanical Design solutions including mechanisms, enclosures and fixtures using 3D modelling software
- Project planning and management from concept through to production including time, budget, resource and risk management
- Use appropriate engineering tools to demonstrate suitability of design solutions
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Define and execute product testing an evaluation
Your experience and skills:
- Extensive Mechanical Design experience in a complex electro-mechanical environment using SolidWorks
- Design experience with load bearing mechanisms, including load calculations, wear and failure analysis
- Experience designing components using plastics, machined metals, castings, sheet steel and composites
- Sound understanding of FMEA, DfA, DfM, full project lifecycle
- Successful project planning / project management of design projects in a structured Design Engineering environment
