Our Team provides innovative turn-key solutions to engineering problems. Due to continuous growth we require a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer located in Newtownards. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing new products, creating and modifying drawings, and using CAD software to design components and systems. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work closely with other engineers and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Designing bespoke machinery and fabrications to customers spec.
- Measuring up and determining specifications with Customers on site
- Ensuring designs promote ease of manufacturing and support manufacturing process
- Producing detailed production drawings
- Work with the production team to resolve issues with drawings.
- Organize and maintain design records
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Machine Building/Designing
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Mechanical Engineering skills
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently
- Proven track record in a similar role
- Experience in the food industry
- Knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Full driving license
