Position Available: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Telford, TF2
Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000
Our esteemed client, a globally recognized specialist engineering firm, is actively seeking an adept Mechanical Design Engineer to join their highly skilled team. With a robust order backlog and expansion plans underway, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Transform conceptual ideas into refined, finished products
• Adhere to project timelines for efficient delivery
• Develop detailed 3D designs and technical drawings
• Generate comprehensive working drawings, detail drawings, and bills of materials
• Collaborate closely with fellow team members to achieve holistic solutions
• Possess knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Engage in collaborative design reviews and analysis
• Enhance tooling to optimize performance
• Ensure designs are manufacturable

Background Requirements:

• Minimum HNC/Degree qualification or equivalent
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Solidworks is preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
• Previous experience within a similar design department role
