Mechanical Design Engineer - To £45K-55K + profit share + package + fully remote role.
Ever thought about setting up on your own but worried about job security?
This unique opportunity offers the best of both worlds, i.e. the security of a monthly salary and a dedicated mentor, whilst having full autonomy over your projects and a fully remote role.
Established in Scotland over four years ago, this Building Services Consultancy are now looking to grow their offering across London and the South East.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll enjoy working on a range of projects such as major decarbonisation and heat recovery projects with blue chip firms, CAT B office fit outs, surgeries, veterinary practices, and upgrades of listed and cultural buildings.
Working directly with the founding Director, a friendly and supportive Chartered Engineer (CEng, MCIBSE, MSc), you'll be responsible for leading the HVAC design elements on projects. You'll be occasionally required to attend meetings, and, also oversee the installation of the mechanical building services systems.
You will be fully supported in the role, but not micromanaged. You will be given the opportunity to lead your own projects from feasibility, design, all the way through to construction. As you develop your own network and contacts (realistically over 6 - 12 months) you'll be allowed to pursue the types of projects you enjoy and choose whether you prefer working with architects, contractors, or end users.
This Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity offers the freedom and autonomy of a freelance role, yet the opportunity of having a huge say into the future direction and success of the business.
You'll be rewarded with a basic salary up to £55K, an annual bonus of up to 10%, 25 days annual leave and a fully funded, holiday typically three or four days in Europe.
