Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and management of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pipework systems for projects ranging from £5-10 million in value.

Mechanical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee the installation of HVAC and pipework systems in accordance with industry regulations and standards.
• Manage and coordinate Mechanical Engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct thorough analysis and troubleshooting to resolve any mechanical issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into construction projects.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project specifications, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Stay updated on advancements in Mechanical Engineering technology and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in building services or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a Mechanical Building Services Engineer role, preferably within the construction domain.
• Membership with CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) or IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pipework systems.
• Strong analytical skills and adept problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous experience in the healthcare sector is an advantage but not essential.
