We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment at our Special Plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on agricultural engineering degree, construction/tunnelling,
Key Responsibilities:
Design, analyse, and enhance mechanical systems and equipment to meet operational requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Utilise advanced simulation tools to predict system behaviour under various operating conditions.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to plant operations.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in Mechanical Engineering and integrate best practices.
Ensure all designs and operations adhere to UK regulations and industry standards.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on complex engineering challenges.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the plant.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in [specific industry or plant type].
Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools.
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of UK regulations and standards related to [specific industry or plant type]. Pressure systems, lola, puwer, ventilation systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
