JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in valve design for large-scale industrial projects, including power generation facilities.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer – Valves:
- Lead valve design projects, ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards.
- Develop and refine technical specifications for valve systems, incorporating latest industry practices and regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed engineering analyses to optimize valve functionality, safety, and reliability.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for the integration of valve solutions within complex system designs.
- Oversee technical documentation and approval processes for valve designs, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Engage in problem-solving for valve-related technical challenges, providing expert insights and innovative solutions.
MY PROFILE
Essential:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in the design and engineering of valves for large industrial or power generation projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to valve design and simulation.
- Familiarity with international standards and regulations governing valve design.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication abilities and the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Desired:
- A Master’s degree is preferred, but by no means essential
- A background in the nuclear sector, ideally EPR/PWR technology
- Sound understanding of nuclear processing regulations
- Experience of equipment supply contracts and contract forms such as NEC/FIDIC
