Mechanical Fitter

Major Recruitment are searching for a Mechanical Fitterfor our client based in Sunderland. This vacancy is full-time and permanent for the right candidate.

Duties include:

• Use of hand tools to maintain and repair equipment and machinery
• Reading of mechanical drawings
• Working to deadlines
• Working as part of a team and alone to meet company targets

Hours of work and pay rate:

• Monday to Thursday
• 07:00am till 17:00pm
• Some night shift work may be required
• 38 hours per week
• Overtime available during the week and weekends as and when the business needs
• 17.06 per hour

Successful candidates must have the following:

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Fitting/ Mechanical Manufacturing
• Experience working with hydraulics
• Comfortable working from heights and in all weathers
• Overhead Crane Operator/ Slinging or willing to learn
