Due to the opening of a brand-new site, we are currently recruiting for 10 Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineers for a market leading business based in Coventry.
These are all permanent roles that have been created due to the opening of a new site in August and looking to staff up a new engineering team.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an FMCG / Industrial maintenance-based role within a logistics or manufacturing environment. Experience carrying out Planned and reactive maintenance on Conveyors/ Belts / Motors is a must.
Candidates must also have experience in safely Isolating 3phase electrical circuits.
This is a shift based role consisting of Earlies (6-2), Lates (2-10) and Nights (10-6) – this is across a 5 week rota with plenty of rest periods built in
Candidates will ideally be Mechanically qualified to a minimum NVQ standard.
Role Description
- To ensure all equipment is in a safe & serviceable condition to maintain & enhance performance of all machinery within the corrugating / conversion plant
- Reduce engineering downtime, respond rapidly to machine failures & breakdowns
- Undertake projects and assist with all on-site installations
- To always keep open and clear lines of communication with management and fellow colleagues
- To undertake, develop & improve planned maintenance schedules
- To prioritise work within the engineering department & deploy resources accordingly
- To identify training needs or ‘weak spots’ within the department
- To ensure all equipment is in a safe & serviceable condition to maintain & enhance performance of all machinery
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within a Fast paced manufacturing environment
- Candidates must be Time Served in an Mechanical discipline
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical systems including Conveyors/ Belts / Sorters/Hydraulics/ Pneumatics/ Motors/ Pumps
- Strong communication skills.
