An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a heavy manufacturing company in the Avonmouth area. Role & Responsibilities:
Undertaking maintenance tasks on conveyor belt systems, pan mixers, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Promptly attending to breakdowns and resolving them efficiently.Performing basic welding and fabrication repairs.Taking an active role in implementing continuous improvement measures to minimize downtime at the site.Assessing and enhancing Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) systems and processes for a flourishing business.Possessing a foundational understanding of electrical principles.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
The preferred candidate should possess one of the following qualifications: CGLI, NVQ, BTEC, or HNC.Holding an IOSH or recognized Safety Training Certificate is essential.Prior experience as a Maintenance Engineer is required.Proficiency in fabrication and welding is necessary.Ideally, the candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the Heavy Industry sector.
