Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
Salary – £35,387.03 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – Average of 42.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, with alternative Saturdays 7.00am to 12.00noon
Postcode of depot – WF11 8DZ
As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will work within the Waste Treatment Division (WTD) and Quarries to provide onsite maintenance at its sites located within the Yorkshire region.

What will you be doing?
- Provide routine breakdown Mechanical Maintenance of process equipment
- Undertake routine monitoring, preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment
- Provide support for process development and site improvements
- Undertake ultrasonic thickness testing of equipment and interpret the results
- Maintain records of work undertaken and of inspections, testing and similar activities
- Monitor the work of contractors undertaking maintenance or installation works
What are we looking for?
- Experience of working in a process and/or quarry industry setting
- Practical knowledge of welding and fabrication
- Practical knowledge of using forklift trucks
- Practical knowledge of the maintenance of pumps, mixers, conveyors, screens, gearboxes and similar equipment
- A Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent
- An ONC/HNC in Mechanical Maintenance
- A full, valid driving licence
