Overall Job Purpose of Electro /Mechanical Maintenance Site Engineer position :

•To provide a consistent internal service delivering repair and maintenance of plant machinery for the efficient and effective production of product, resolving, and providing new solutions as required to a wide range of routine and complex issues without supervisory approval.

To carry out small medium mechanical engineering installations, overseeing all other maintenance applications.

Key Responsibilities of Electro /Mechanical Maintenance Site Engineer position :

•To respond quickly and efficiently to machine breakdowns, communicating progress to the Manufacturing Manager.

•To complete any preventative plant maintenance, maintain the full appropriate documentation, identifying and escalating any faults they are unable to rectify.

•Ensure spare parts stock is maintained and re-ordered as required.

•Ensure quality compliance, completing routine documentation in accordance with manufacturing requirements.

•Comply with all site polices including HSHE 

•Support the development and training of Apprentices

• Responsible for all electrical/ mechanical contractors in site including all documentation e.g. Systems of Work, Permit to work. Risk assessments etc.

Qualifications/Courses/Experience of Electro /Mechanical Maintenance Site Engineer position:

•NVQ 4 /HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering

•Previous experience of mechanical engineering maintenance in a manufacturing environment is essential. 5 – 10 years.

•Able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines

•Good communication skills, both written and verbal

•Work independently and part of a team.

•Demonstrate commercial awareness.

•Manage self, working/assisting internal customers/ external contractors obtaining their involvement and buy in.

•Coach and develop, providing structured and consistent feedback.
