An international packaging manufacturer with over 350 locations across the world and produces a range of recycled packaging products for the European corrugated case making industry.
About the Role:
Looking for an experienced Mechanically biased Engineer to join my client, to be hands-on, to work to H&S company guidelines across the site and to work on breakdown and preventative maintenance tasks.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out routine and non-routine maintenance tasks
- Taking responsibility for specific areas and understanding their operation and maintenance requirements
- Communicating and assisting other departments during maintenance activities and breakdowns
- Being actively involved in improvement, extension, or modification projects of equipment
- Conducting clear and informative handovers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- A proven track record of working as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, heavy industry/steel heavy industry or similar
- A strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A high level of health and safety awareness and adherence to all safety rules and requirements at all times
- A flexible approach to work and be prepared to perform any other reasonable tasks as may be required
