We are one of the UK’s premier engineering services provider since 1985, is looking for an exceptional Mechanical Project Engineer. We provide superior technical engineering and management services specialising in the food, beverage, dairy, personal care, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. We operate nationwide with offices located in London, Slough, Bristol and Yorkshire.
We are ideally looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to effectively plan and control projects whilst offering our clients the highest quality service. You must have a thorough understanding of the first principles of process engineering to be successful in this role.
The role will be challenging and varied so we are looking for a versatile individual who excels in multi-tasking, and who will take responsibility for their clients’ needs both on and off site and service the projects from start to finish.
We are looking for someone with experience of client relationship development and the ability to quote clients’ job requirements, with the regional Directors approval. You should be able to proactively develop client relationships to ensure the continuation of projects.
You will need experience of on-site management including the co-ordination and supervision of tradesmen, and the managing of resources in line with the project budget, controlling costs whilst ensuring the clients’ expectations of quality are met.
As you will be working closely with the H&S Manager to ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to, you must be experienced in preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements and any other documentation required.
You should also have experience in AutoCAD and Design ability and have good knowledge of Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential along with the ability to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team.
This role will be primarily working out of the Slough office, but due to the nature of our projects regional travel and overnight stays may be required, as will the necessity to work seven days if the need arises to ensure that project deadlines are met.
We require someone with the appropriate mechanical and industry experience, ideally with knowledge of steam, chilled water, HP & LP compressed air and hygienic process installations within our industry sector.
