Hings Group are a well-established M&E contractor working on projects within the construction, healthcare, education, historic and commercial sectors. Although we do small works, we predominantly work on projects for £75k to £2m.

Ideally we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a solid engineering background. However, if you believe you have the technical ability, but not necessarily the preferred experience, we will make consideration for the right candidate, so we would love to hear from you.

Position:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our multi-disciplined in-house team, supporting the delivery of our vision for being regarded as the area's premier provider of turnkey services to our chosen markets.

Location: Office or Hybrid based with site and client visits required.

Role:

• Taking responsibility for the overall performance and delivery of our Mechanical Projects
• Strong commercial business acumen and experience required
• Financial monitoring of works in progress
• Liaison with estimating department for competitive tendering
• Coaching and mentoring of junior team members
• Preparation and submission of smaller quotations in line with client scope and specification
• Negotiation of scope and price
• Management of contracts and projects
• Actively seek/follow-up sales opportunities
• Regular site visits, inspections and audits
• Coordination of labour and resources
• Procurement of materials and plant
• Preparation of risk assessments and method statements
