About the role
- Lead team meetings to engage, motivate, and improve performance.
- Report aspects of the project to clients, Directors, and any other relevant stakeholder.
- Liaise with Design & Coordination to ensure the delivery of design/working drawings capture any additional cost, programme delay, or external influence that may affect production.
- A Project Manager with a good technical background would be a good fit for this position.
- Clients are generally very technical, and we work direct for end clients. Demonstrating technical ability will help toward securing more works.
- Works are fast paced, as the Data Centre industry is fast moving. Working to agreed programs and sticking to dates is very important.
- Generally, a high pressure environment so candidate needs to be able to work well under pressure.
- Business model involves an element of self-delivery with our own labour, but a lot of packages are sub-contracted to contractors, so candidate needs to be good at handling all trades under the mechanical banner (pipework, ductwork, water treatment, commissioning, plant movements etc).
- Role will require candidate to be involved in all aspects of the PM role, from enquiry, surveying, estimating, client liaison, design development with our internal design team, programming, cost control, procurement, delivery, handover and O&M’s.
- Working on their Data Centre client accounts, the role requires some travelling mostly around the M25 with sites in Slough, Hemel Hempstead, Acton and Canary Wharf.
