AddressOur client is the Southern Division of a very established specialist engineering contractor undertaking a number of new build Data Centre Projects in London and the Home Counties. They are looking for a good Mechanical Project Manager within their M&E Data Centre Project team.You will be managing M&E installation on Data Centre Projects from project inception through to commissioning and handover, overseeing the MEP trades and their associated subcontractors.We are looking for a practical pro-active collaborator who can communicate well and Maintain good relationships with co-workers, vendors, subcontractors, owners, engineers and architects.Our client is intelligent and allow their people substantial autonomy, treating their staff as professionals. The role would ideally suit someone located appropriately to get into London, the M4 Corridor and the home counties, but appropriate home working is encouraged as necessary for the needs of the project and whilst a degree of normal flexibility is necessary our client are sensible and pragmatic and don’t micro-manage.Ideally we are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of the following, at least some of which was gained whilst working on Data Centre or closely related Projects; knowledge of chilled water ideally in a live facility; quality control of all MEP trades; Ductwork; Building Controls; Electrical; Fire Alarm; Protection; Contract documents; Shop drawings and submittals; Troubleshooting; Chairing meetings; Monitoring the installation and start-up of MEP systems; Commissioning of the project with specialist consultancy and owner.Our client offers a stable, career focussed environment with excellent prospects.
