Medical Data Entry Clerk

We have a vacancy for a Medical Data Entry Clerk to join our friendly, hard working office team.

25 hours per week Monday to Friday. Either 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. or 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

Candidates must be educated to GCSE level and have excellent I.T. and organisational skills. Previous admin experience is required. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team of admin clerks and also manage their own responsibilities.

Duties include:

Maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Entering accurate clinical data in medical records.

Running and implementing reports and meeting targets.

Summarising medical records in accordance with the Practice protocol.

All aspects pertaining to the registration and deduction of patients.

Implementing administrative systems for the provision of services by the Practice.

Dealing with queries from patients, colleagues and outside agencies.

Scanning confidential documents.

Compilation and maintenance of manual clinical notes.

Postal and email duties.

General office duties.

Covering letter and C.V. in application.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
