Job description
The Medical Director will provide medical leadership and contribute to the strategic development of the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service (NIBTS) and will be a member of the NIBTS Senior Management Team. They will provide professional advice to the Chief Executive and Agency Board on medical issues relating to the services provided by NIBTS. They will have a key role in developing medical leadership and ensuring ownership of new strategies and policies and of ensuring excellent communications between medical staff and the management team. They will be professionally accountable to the Director of Public Health, PHA and the Chief Medical Officer for medical professional regulation within the service.
