A Medical Examiner System has been introduced across England and Wales to improve the process of death certification and enable the family to have a voice.
The role of Medical Examiner Officer involves working closely with the Medical Examiners to support the delivery of this service.

The role of Medical Examiner Officer involves working closely with the Medical Examiners to support the delivery of this service.
You need to be of pleasant disposition, have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, informative telephone manner
You need to have an eye for detail and be able to apply a structured approach to reviewing comprehensive health records.
You will need to be well organised and manage a case load. You need a flexible approach, enjoy a fast pace and be enthusiastic whilst resilient.
You will need to have completed the core training for a Medical Examiner Officer (PCPath)
Service hours are core - Monday to Friday
