Salary We are seeking a well organised, highly motivated individual to join our Blood Transfusion team at Poole Hospital.
Applications are invited for the post of Medical Laboratory Assistant to work within the Blood Transfusion Department at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust at Poole Hospital.
Medical Laboratory Assistants work as part of a team supporting the Biomedical Scientists. Medical Laboratory Assistants receive and process samples (data entry) prior to testing by Biomedical Scientists in the laboratory.
The successful candidate will be trained to perform request entry, deal with enquiries on the telephone, accurately provide authorised results to other health care professionals as required and perform key admin and clerical duties within the department. There is scope for personal development within the department.

Hours are full time (37.5 hours per week) during Monday to Friday however, out of hours working will be required on occasions.
