Spire Bushey Pathology Service based at Centennial Park has an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our friendly close-knit team. Although ideally we are looking for experience in a similar environment, we would be open to candidates with a Science degree or qualifications looking for their first role in a scientific department. Experience with Winpath or similar Pathology LIMS, and/or Biochemistry analyser maintenance would be an advantage.

You will be working on a rolling rota basis covering 7.5 hour shifts between 0730 to 2200 Monday to Sunday which includes on average, one weekend in three

Duties and responsibilities –

• You will be part of an experienced and supportive pathology team working within a state-of-the-art lab
• You will primarily be responsible for the receipt and processing of samples for our Biomedical Science Laboratory. This will include a high volume of sample handling through to packaging and ensuring they are sent to the correct department.
• You will be working on a rolling rota basis covering shifts from 0730 to 2200 Monday to Sunday which include on average one weekend in four

• You will need to have strong administration skills and good computer literacy
• Someone who is motivated and excels in customer service
• We would also be open to someone with relevant science qualifications looking for their first opportunity in a Scientific role
• Experience with Winpath or similar Pathology LIMS, and/or Biochemistry maintenance would be an advantage
