To receive and collate patients samples when they first arrive in the laboratory To perform the preliminary processing of specimens prior to analysis To store and keep detailed archive of samples To maintain an up to date knowledge of new developments in the laboratory To perform any clerical duties required To bring to the attention of BMS staff any problem specimens, urgent requests, leaking samples or any specimens that do not collate to the request form To prepare specimens received by the laboratory for analysis Work with the BMS staff to organise one's work To notify senior BMS staff of stock usage To use equipment safely in accordance with manufacturers instructions and local standard operating procedures To report any adverse incidents or non conformities or breaches of health and safety to a senior BMS Temperature monitoring of fridge, freezers, incubators and the environment Please refer to JD attached for full details.
