Job description

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a new opportunity available in a secondary school in Haringey that is looking for a Medical Needs Assistant, ideally with a current First-Aid At Work certificate.

The role involves dealing with day to day injuries and recording any events, providing medicine to students who require it, making sure that students with Medical Needs are checked in with every day etc.

There are various first-aiders in the school but you would be the main point of call.

You will be liaising with parents/carers as well as the local health authority for events such as vaccination days etc.

Requirements:

Ideally first aid trained who will assist students daily and triage appropriately.

Having a good knowledge of allergies, diabetes etc would be good as you will be expected to help with administering or helping with epi pens etc.

A valid DBS

A calm personality

A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Good organisation skills(booking vaccinations days etc) and be able to self-motivate

This is a "Good" school, in a nice area. The school is well served by public transport and they also have parking available.

The hours are 8.15am - 3.30/4.00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
