Job description

Our client, a leading healthcare organisation, is seeking a talented Medical Receptonist and Administrator to join their team. As the main point of contact for patients, visitors, and colleagues, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering a positive experience for all.

Job Title:Medical Receptionist and Administrator

Location: York

Remuneration: £23,700

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time - Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting patients, visitors, consultants, and colleagues at reception.
  • Handling incoming post, deliveries, and managing outgoing post efficiently.
  • Taking phone calls, directing queries, and distributing messages promptly
  • Managing the email inbox and redirecting necessary messages.
  • Updating reception sign-in sheets, information boards, and information leaflets.
  • Collaborating with IT Support providers to set up new colleagues on IT systems and providing basic support.
  • Compiling paperwork for admission folders and updating electronic patient records.
  • Assisting Administrator with the tracking and storage of required paperwork.
  • Responsible for petty cash administration and reconciliation of receipts.
  • Monitoring and ordering stationery and medical sundries.
  • Managing meeting room bookings, optimising efficiency through calendar coordination.
  • Minute taking for colleague and patient meetings, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Writing reports
  • Proofreading/formatting colleague reports
