About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact as a Novartis Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the Cardiovascular space. Joining the Cardio, Renal, Metabolic medical team, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally to support the Novartis CVD portfolio and upcoming launches in this space. The MSL is a non-promotional Medical Affairs position responsible for scientifically engaging, collaborating, and aligning with external stakeholders to identify and address patient and healthcare system needs in order to evolve clinical practice for better patient access and outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include:
• Leveraging and integrating insights from Healthcare Professionals, Healthcare Systems and Policy Makers to shape disease area and patient strategies.
• Impact and inform the Integrated Product Strategy (IPS), Integrated Evidence Generation Plans, launch excellence roadmap, Patient Journey and medical strategies.
• Understand unmet medical needs, disease and competitive landscape and treatment practice
• Evaluate the impact of events/actions on the whole healthcare system, both on the long and short term.
• Co-create with other functions and develop strategies to maximise clinical potential of compounds throughout their life cycle.
• Generate and implement disruptive and innovative ideas and solutions to positively impact healthcare systems.

Requirements:
• Experience of working in Medical Affairs in the Cardiovascular therapy area is essential
• Medical, Pharmacy or PhD in scientific/medical background is preferred OR
• An equivalent post-graduate degree in health/life sciences, another scientific degree or equivalent medical/clinical/scientific experience may also be considered.
• Strong working knowledge of the UK health care system
• A curious mindset and drive to make a positive difference
• Experience in effective collaboration to co-create value
• Full UK Drivers Licence
