About Us

We are looking for a Member Services Manager to lead a dynamic team that delivers support to senior leaders in Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.

The Member Services Manager will join us at an exciting time of change, working with both administrations to support delivery of the following priorities:

The role is exciting and fast paced, operating at the heart of both councils. Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of key Mayoral and civic events, working closely with Members, senior officers, partners, and communities.

You will be advising Members of the Council, Officers, and members of the public regarding civic and ceremonial protocols.

Working closely with Members, you will also be responsible for Member training and development, including the administration of the Members Allowances Scheme in accordance with the Regulations.

You will be responsible for the annual delivery of the Mayoral Induction, and play a key role in the development of the Member induction programme.

The Member Services Manager will have experience in financial management and budget monitoring, which includes contract management, and carrying out monthly reconciliations. You will be responsible for the finalising the end of year charity accounts, and events are delivered on budget. 

No two days are the same in this role. The role offers the opportunity to develop and learn new skills while innovating and developing the service. 

There will be some evening working required for this role, with the role based in both Richmond and Wandsworth depending on business requirements.

You will have experience of leading teams and working with senior leaders and stakeholders and be passionate about developing staff. You will have a creative mindset and be able to make informed decisions.  

You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our services are delivered to the highest standard.

You will be a visible leader, confident in communicating to a wide variety of audiences.

You will be fully supported by the Head of Service in developing your skills and reaching your potential, with training and opportunities working for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.  

This is a unique opportunity, working within a shared staffing arrangement that supports two sovereign councils, covering Inner and Outer London areas, and serving half a million residents.
