Job description
The post-holder is accountable to the Assistant Director of Healthcare in Prison (HiP) for the delivery of high quality Mental Health, Addiction and Engagement Services across the 4 Prison settings within Northern Ireland within a strategic, professional and operational context.They will lead on and be responsible for reviewing, redesigning and the delivery of high quality care across these services within a justice setting.This includes providing strong strategic leadership relating to the integration of Mental Health Services in Prison within the proposed Regional Mental Health Service and the connection across the region with Addictions service to ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of care, use of resource and ensuring continuity and experience throughout the patient’s journey.They will ensure that the services professional practice meets professional and Trust policies and procedures whilst driving innovation through Quality Improvement. Hold a relevant Health and Social Care University degree or above or equivalentBe registered on the live register of the appropriate professional councilHave at least 5 years post qualifying experience, 2 of which must have been in a Senior Manager role within a complex organisation , Experience of implementing quality improvement methodologies
